Instructions for Authors

  1. General Information

The Journal of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology (JWHOG) welcomes the submission of original scholarly work that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in women’s health, obstetrics, and gynecology. Manuscripts submitted to the journal should be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal at the time of submission.

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system and will undergo editorial assessment followed by peer review.

 

  1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

JWHOG accepts the following categories of manuscripts:

Original Research Articles

Reports of clinical, laboratory, or public health research that provide new insights into women’s health, obstetrics, or gynecology.

Review Articles

Comprehensive reviews summarizing current knowledge on specific topics relevant to the journal’s scope.

Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses

Studies that systematically evaluate published literature using structured methodology.

Case Reports and Case Series

Reports describing rare clinical cases or unique presentations that provide educational value.

Short Communications

Brief reports of preliminary or novel findings.

Editorials and Commentaries

Invited articles that discuss emerging issues or developments in women’s health.

Letters to the Editor

Short communications responding to articles published in the journal or discussing relevant scientific issues.

 

  1. Manuscript Preparation

Authors should prepare manuscripts in clear and concise English. Submissions should be formatted using a standard word processing format (preferably Microsoft Word).

A typical manuscript should include the following sections:

  • Title Page
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgments (if applicable)
  • Conflict of Interest Statement
  • References

 

  1. Title Page

The title page should include:

  • Full title of the manuscript
  • Names of all authors
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Corresponding author’s name and contact details (email and address)

 

  1. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should briefly summarize the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the study.

For original research articles, a structured abstract is preferred.

Authors should provide 3–6 keywords to facilitate indexing and discoverability.

 

  1. Ethical Considerations

Research involving human participants must comply with internationally accepted ethical standards and must have received approval from the relevant institutional ethics committee.

Authors should confirm that informed consent was obtained from participants where applicable.

 

  1. Conflict of Interest

All authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that may influence the research or interpretation of results.

If no conflicts exist, authors should state:

“The authors declare no conflicts of interest.”

 

  1. Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using appropriate plagiarism detection tools.

Manuscripts found to contain substantial plagiarism or duplicate publication will be rejected.

 

  1. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by double-blind peer review by independent experts in the field.

Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer comments before final acceptance.

 

  1. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish and distribute the article.

Published articles may be shared and distributed for non-commercial purposes with proper citation of the original source.

Authors should submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system by registering as an author and following the submission steps.

All required files, including manuscript text, figures, and supplementary materials, should be uploaded during the submission process.
