About the Journal
Journal of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology (JWHOG) is dedicated to advancing knowledge and improving clinical practice in the fields of women’s health, obstetrics, and gynecology. The journal provides an international platform for the dissemination of high-quality research and scholarly work addressing health conditions that uniquely or disproportionately affect women across the lifespan.
The journal covers a broad spectrum of topics including maternal and reproductive health, obstetric care, gynecological disorders, infertility, menopause, adolescent gynecology, reproductive endocrinology, urogynecology, gynecologic oncology, contraception, and sexual and reproductive health. In addition, JWHOG welcomes research addressing mental health, chronic diseases affecting women, and health disparities that influence women’s health outcomes in different populations.
JWHOG particularly encourages multidisciplinary research that integrates clinical medicine, public health, behavioral science, and social perspectives to better understand and address complex challenges in women’s health. Studies focusing on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and health policy related to women’s health are of particular interest.
The journal publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, review articles, brief communications, and position papers that contribute to evidence-based clinical practice, inform public health strategies, and promote equity in women’s health care worldwide.
Editorial Policies
The Journal of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology (JWHOG) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of editorial integrity, transparency, and scientific rigor in scholarly publishing.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo an initial editorial evaluation to determine their relevance to the journal’s scope and compliance with submission guidelines. Manuscripts that meet the preliminary requirements are assigned to a Section Editor and sent for double-blind peer review by independent experts in the relevant field.
Editorial decisions are based on the scientific merit, originality, methodological soundness, and relevance of the manuscript to women’s health, obstetrics, and gynecology. The Editor-in-Chief and editorial board ensure that the review process is fair, unbiased, and conducted with confidentiality.
The journal follows ethical standards in publishing and expects authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to accepted principles of academic integrity, including transparency in authorship, disclosure of conflicts of interest, and responsible reporting of research findings.
The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the scientific, ethical, or editorial standards of the journal.
